Create and review a Content Entry.
Fill a Content type's fields with one useful entry, check its status, and compare the result with the intended presentation.
Follow the steps.
Use your own accurate details and check the result as you go. You can return to the relevant Website editor to make corrections.
Open the Content type
Choose the content type and give the entry a recognizable title or slug.
Fill the fields
Add accurate text, a useful summary, the body content, and a permitted Featured Image when the Content type supports it.
Save and review status
Check the saved entry state and open the compatible Page or Theme preview before deciding whether to publish.
Illustrative exampleWhat a useful result looks like
- The result
- A saved Entry draft using the Content type’s fields.
- What to check
- Reopen the Entry and confirm the values are retained before deciding to publish.
Adapt the example to your Website and review the result before moving to the next task.
Write for the repeated format
Keep field values consistent across entries so the compatible presentation remains readable.
Review the entry in context
A saved entry is easier to judge when you see its title, image, and content where visitors will encounter it.
Before you continue
Saving or publishing an entry does not make an incompatible Page display it, and it does not publish the Website Page that presents it.
