Present CMS content on a Website.

Connect a compatible Page or Theme to repeated entries, then review the resulting list or detail presentation before publishing.

Follow the steps.

Use your own accurate details and check the result as you go. You can return to the relevant Website editor to make corrections.

  1. Confirm the presentation owner

Choose the Page or Theme pattern that supports the Content type and the entry fields it uses.

  2. Check list and detail states

Review titles, summaries, images, body content, links, empty states, and long entries.

  3. Publish the owning result

Save the entries and Page or Theme changes, then use the appropriate publication control and check the public address.

Illustrative example

What a useful result looks like

The result
The Page displays the correct Entry fields in its layout.
What to check
Compare the Page with the Entry, check long values, and publish Page changes separately.

Adapt the example to your Website and review the result before moving to the next task.

Keep the data and presentation distinct

Content Studio owns Content types and entries. A compatible Page or Theme decides how visitors encounter them.

Test representative lengths

Check a short entry and a long entry so the presentation does not depend on one convenient sample.

Before you continue

CMS content cannot appear as intended without a compatible Page or Theme, and publishing an entry does not publish every Website surface that could reference it.

Make the next change with a clear result in mind.
