Add a Featured Image to a Content Entry.

Choose permitted Website Media, attach it to the supported field, and check its crop and description in the entry presentation.

Follow the steps.

Use your own accurate details and check the result as you go. You can return to the relevant Website editor to make corrections.

  1. Choose the entry subject

Select a photo or illustration that explains the project, article, or service rather than filling a decorative slot.

  2. Select supported Media

Use the Media Library asset available for the Content type's Featured Image field.

  3. Check crop and description

Review the image in the entry and its public presentation at desktop and mobile widths.

What a useful result looks like

The result
The saved Entry references the selected Featured Image.
What to check
Check the image in the connected public presentation, including its crop and missing-image state.

Adapt the example to your Website and review the result before moving to the next task.

Choose an image with a job

A Featured Image should help visitors recognize or understand the entry's subject.

Keep facts with the asset

Use useful alternative text and caption information; the filename alone is not a description.

Before you continue

A Featured Image belongs to the entry presentation. It does not grant permission to use the image, repair a missing asset, or publish the entry's Page.
