Use Media in a supported Page or content field.

Select the right saved asset for a supported image or file field, then review its crop, text, and destination.

Follow the steps.

Use your own accurate details and check the result as you go. You can return to the relevant Website editor to make corrections.

  1. Open the owning field

Start in the Page, model, or entry that supports the Media type you need.

  2. Select the saved asset

Search the Website Media Library, inspect the asset facts, and choose it for the field.

  3. Review and save the destination

Check crop, Alt text, Caption, and responsive presentation, then save the Page or entry separately.

What a useful result looks like

The result
The saved field references the image you selected.
What to check
Reopen the editor, then preview the image in its Page context and at phone width.

Adapt the example to your Website and review the result before moving to the next task.

Let the destination guide the choice

The same asset can serve different jobs in a hero, gallery, Featured Image, or downloadable file field.

Keep saving states distinct

Selecting Media changes the field draft. The Page, CMS entry, Theme, and public Website each retain their own save or publish state.

Before you continue

Selecting Media in a field does not publish the Page or entry, convert the file, or guarantee that the selected destination supports every asset property.

Make the next change with a clear result in mind.
